Itinerary : Motorcycle Special

Day 1: SPLIT
Arrive in Split where you will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel. Hand over of motorcycles. Take a short ride to the island of Ciovo where you can visit the monastery built into a cliff. Then visit Trogir, an ancient city dating back to 3000 BC, now also a UNESCO Heritage site and romantic renaissance town on the Adriatic. Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. (D)

Day 2: SPLIT/TRILJ/SPLIT
After breakfast, ride up the mountain to Trilj where you can visit a 600-year old mill. Ride through the forest and follow a stream to its source. Enjoy dinner in a 'Flintstone' restaurant. Return to Split for overnight. (B;D)

Day 3: SPLIT/SIBENIK/SPLIT
After breakfast, ride through the mountains to Rogoznica, a lazy seaside village where you can enjoy lunch overlooking the sea. Ride further up the coast to Sibenik and visit the Krka National Park, a series a waterfalls set in a beautiful forest. Return to Split via Vodice, a lively seaside tourist resort. Overnight in Split (B;D)

Day 4: SPLIT/BRAC/SPLIT
Spend the morning touring the ancient city of Split, Croatia's second largest city and the most vibrant city on the coast. Visit the bustling market place and stroll through the narrow streets stopping to enjoy a cappuccino in one of the many café bars. Later, take the ferry to Supetar on the island of Brac and explore the island stopping in at various seaside villages, as well as the beach at Bol which changes shape according to the wind. Brac is known as the marble island. The stone from this island was used to build structures around the world including the White House in Washington DC; the Reichstag in Berlin and the high alter in Liverpool's Catholic Cathedral. Return to Split for overnight. (B;D)

Day 5: SPLIT/KORCULA
Take the morning ferry to Vela Luka on the island of Korcula, birthplace of Marco Polo. This island, the 6th largest in the Adriatic, was first discovered in 6th century BC. Ride the length of the island to Korcula town, enjoying the spectacular view of mountain and sea along the way. Overnight on Korcula. (B; D)

Day 6: KORCULA/DUBROVNIK/TRPANJ
After breakfast, take the ferry back to the mainland and ride down the coast to Dubrovnik, known as the jewel of the Adriatic. Stop at a local winery and sample some of the best wine in Croatia. Continue your ride to Dubrovnik. Spend some time enjoying this fascinating city. Walk around the walls of this medieval city, regarded as one of the most beautiful walks in the world. Dubrovnik is a treasure trove of museums, palaces and churches and with wonderful restaurants as well, this city is a wellspring of activity. Travel to Trpanj for overnight. (B;D)

Day 7: DUBROVNIK/SPLIT
Leave early morning and take a scenic drive along the coastline to Tucepi. From there, turn onto mountain road and climb the Biokovo mountain range to Sveti Jure, the highest point in Dalmatia, where you can enjoy the panoramic views over the Adriatic as well as inland Croatia. Travel through old villages and along the Cetina River, site of the Burt Reynolds' film 'Deliverance'. Farewell dinner at local restaurant. Return to Split for overnight. (B; D)

Day 8: SPLIT
Morning at leisure in Split to enjoy this medieval city. Visit the palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian and shop for last minute bargains in the market place. Experience the view of the city from Vide Lice. Return motorcycles and transfer to airport in time for your flight home. (B)
