ITINERARY8 days, 7 nightsDAY 1, Saturday 4 July 2009TROGIR - ROGOZNICA Board your boat in Trogir this morning for your cruise of a lifetime. Depart at lunchtime for Rogoznica, a beautiful fishing village with a natural harbour protected by a thick pine forest. Stop en route to swim. Dinner on board. DAY 2, Sunday 5 July 2009 ROGOZNICA-SKRADIN-VODICE Depart early morning and enjoy the unique experience of sailing through the canyons of the River Krka to the little town of Skradin. Spend some time exploring this peaceful town with it's narrow streets before continuing to Vodice, the best known tourist destination on the Adriatic. Vodice has something for everyone - long beaches flanked by walkways for quiet walks in the evening, as well as a vibrant nightlife with many restaurants and pubs. Breakfast and lunch on board. DAY 3, Monday 6 July 2009 VODICE-SALI Depart Vodice for Sali, the largest village on the island of Dugi Otok, meaning 'Long Island'. This island derived its name from its distinctive shape - 45km long and only 5km wide. This island has the largest number of Maritime Pine trees in the western Mediterranean. A nature park, Telascica covers the southern part of the island. There are eleven villages concerned primarily with fishing, although salt was once produced here. Spend time cycling around this peaceful island. Olive oil, figs, cheese and wine accompany the seafood in the natives' diet. A definite step back in time, the island boasts an ancient pre-Roman church and some Roman ruins. Breakfast and lunch on board. DAY 4, Tuesday 7 July 2009 SALI-KORNATI-UGLJAN Leaving Sali, stop at the Kornati National Park, declared a National Park in 1980, is one of the few underwater national parks in the world. With 150 islands in a sea area of 320km2 Kornati are the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. This archipelago, dating back to prehistoric times, has a unique natural beauty with numerous bays and coves and an extremely rich marine ecosystem. George Bernard Shaw wrote about the Kornati islands saying 'On the last day of creation, God wanted to crown His work, so He created the Kornati Islands'. Spend time exploring this unique nature reserve by sea kayak. Later in the day, sail on to Ugljan where you will spend the night. Breakfast and lunch on board. DAY 5, Wednesday 8 July 2009 UGLJAN-MURTER After breakfast, sail on to the popular tourist destination of Murter. Populated by the Illyrians almost 2000 years ago, this island covers an area of approx 20km. The steep slopes on the southwestern coastline are divided by many sandy coves. Enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches or explore this quaint fishing village with its old stone houses and traditional narrow streets. Breakfast and lunch on board. DAY 6, Thursday 9 July 2009 MURTER-ZLARIN Today we sail to Zlarin, also known as the 'coral island' where coral jewellery is still handmade. With it's highest point of 175m above sea level, on a clear day you can see Mount Velebit and the volcanic Jabuka island. The interior of the island is uninhabited and consists of thick pine forests while the coastline has many fig and cypress trees. No cars are allowed on this island, so cycling here is peaceful. Various types of beaches make this an ideal spot to enjoy the sun and crystal clear sea. Breakfast and lunch on board. DAY 7, Friday 10 July 2009 ZLARIN-TROGIR Depart Zlarin and sail back to Trogir, stopping en route to swim. Spend the afternoon exploring this unique museum-town. Breakfast and lunch on board. DAY 8, Saturday 11 July 2009 Departure Time to say goodbye once again. Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Split airport for your flight home, or to your hotel for the rest of your stay.
